For this task blog I did the three good things. At the end of each day for a week I wrote down three good things that happened to me and explained why they made me feel good or brought me happiness. I'll add some pictures to show what I did throughout the week and highlight some of the best parts of the week!! Spurs auditions!! DAY 1:   April 21, 2018 1. Spurs auditions-we held auditions for dance team and I got to dance all morning and meet my new spur babies that will be joining us in the fall. 2. Dinner- I went to dinner with my boyfriend's parents, they're super sweet and I am really glad I got to spend time with them. 3. Anxiety is a mental disorder characterized by feelings of worry, anxiety, or fear that are strong enough to interfere with ones daily activities. Anxiety disorders are real, serious medical conditions-just as real and serious as physical disorders such as heart disease and diabetes. Anxiety disorders are the most common disorders in the United States and affect over 44 million American adults. I interviewed one of my roommates along with my mom about their anxiety disorders and how it affects their everyday lives. Growing up, my mom had always struggled with anxiety but as a child I was not really sure what that entailed. She has what is called generalized anxiety disorder or GAD. GAD is characterized by persistent and excessive worry about a number of different things. People with this disorder often anticipate disaster and may be overly concerned about family, money, health, work or other issues. Today I am writing about the recovery story of someone very near to my heart. For personal reasons I am going to change names, lets name this person, Bob. When Bob was just 15 years old, he started using drugs and in a matter of about 5 years, his life began to spiral out of control. He had over twenty jobs between the ages of 15 and 20 but eventually became unemployable. He quit sports and did not graduate high school. He was arrested 14 times in one year and ended up overdosing, looking death in the eye. he felt like he had no hope, there was nothing left for him to live for.   Bob says "I felt so alone. I tried everything I could to stop. I did not want to continue to hurt my family but it was a disease that I could not cure on my own."
